1985 22r running bad all of a sudden

When i start up my 1985 22r it all of a sudden just isnt running right. It only has 102,000 miles and now its clicking funny from the motor, and the exhaust fumes come out in a sputtering sequence. When i look at the motor whiles its running, its rocking back and forth real bad.



Any ideas guys?

replce your air filter .. and "tap" your carb bace with a screw driver handle .. you may have developed either a "plug" in the system or a gasket leak ..



If the tapping dosent work , the try sprying some "carb start" to chech for vacumm leaks or gasket failiures

I fixed my sputtering exhaust by drilling out the fuel mixture plug on the carburator and adjusting it to get the highest RPM.

ya its still doing it, maybe bad gas(water in gas from the unknown station i was last at)
