95 parts that capable with 96

Hi. I was looking for the rear wheel bearing and toyota only sold the whole assembly which cost 443 each. I cancel that. I have a 96 le 4 cyc non abs.

I found someone locally selling parts from a 95. Don't know if it's abs or not.

I was wondering what fits my 96. He can sell me the whole hub assembly for 30 each. I need new strut, but the car I don't think is worth new strut. Used strut yes. I am wondering what pieces I can get off the 95 that will work for me.

Thanks.

If you can find a salvage yard, you can pull the bearings off another car too. They are only held on by four 14mm Bolts. All you need is an extension, 14mm socket, and a ratchet. (This is if you have rear drums).

Pull the tire off, support the rear of car off the ground, remove the drum. Spin the hub around until you see the hole line up with the bolt (You should be able to see two bolts at a time). Remove all bolts by spinning and lining the hole up. Then simply remove, and re-install the new / newused one. Very very easy. You dont even need to remove the rear shoes!

( I believe the Rears for the Disc brakes are set up the same, but I haven't actually taken a look yet on my XLE )

95 and 96 should interchange. Only difference is one is OBD1 and the other is OBD2
