Gas Mileage in the 4.0 V6??

Thinking of buying a used 07+ Tundra Double cab with the 4.0 V6. Anyone on here have one that could give me an idea of what kind of MPG to expect?

Yeah because I didn't try that first. Like I said earlier if you actually find something for the 4.0V6 it would be appreciated...all i could find was for the 5.7 and some for the 4.6....but my guess is you can't..you can only make stupid comments

You will not find much info on the V6 because Toyota does not sell very many V6's. The ones they do sell are stripped down base model work/fleet trucks, so not personal vehicles that someone will want to record mileage on.



But like I said, it's a full size truck that weighs 5500 pounds and has a frontal area equivalent to a brick wall. It will not get good mileage. End of story.

Thanks for the research. I had seen both that website and the post. The fuelly only has data on 4 V6's, and they are last generation at that. That's why I have been lookin for more data. My neighbor has a 08 V5 SR5 and he says he gets 19-20 regularly. Just trying to get a wider perspective.



They don't sell the V6 double cab anymore, but the 07, and 08's that I am looking at used are nice, far from a stripped down work truck.

I was averaging about 16.3 MPG on my 08' V6. Changed the air filter to an AEM one and now I'm doing 17.4

Thanks for responding. Where do you get a AEM air filter? I am about 95% sure I am going to buy a Tundra 4.0 this weekend, so just curious.
