Highlanders break ins, and theft issues

Are Highlanders targeted vehicles for theft. I park my '04 at home in a locked private garage in New Hampshire (VERY low crime). But park in Boston, and NYC alot when traveling. Anyone had issues with there Highlander being broken into. Any tips on what they were after.

No, the parts aren't very desirable for thieves, the rims maybe but if you have wheel locks you're good. I think thieves are more into the Honda Civic/Acura Integra scene.

I remember looking at the listing for more likely to be stolen vehicles that came with my car insurance renewal and noticed that 6 cyl Highlanders are on the list, but not 4 cyl.

Maybe it just in New England. Highlanders are very popular in MA, CT and southern NH, VT and ME
